Polk County Opens Drive-Thru Testing and Immunization Clinic
Beginning Wednesday, August 12, 2020 PCHC is offering a drive-thru site for COVID-19 testing and immunizations. The drive-thru will be open Monday-Friday, 8-8:45 a.m. for COVID-19 testing of direct contacts identified by the PCHC staff. Immunization Services will be available Monday-Friday, 9-11:00 a.m. and 1-4:00 p.m. Evening hours will be added the week of August 17. No appointment is necessary.
The drive-thru is located east of the Polk County Health Center in the adjacent lot. Entrance to the drive-thru clinic is available from Broadway Street, with two lanes available for access. Patients will stay in their vehicles during testing or immunizations.
“We want to offer residents the opportunity to receive the same excellent care we provide every year in an efficient, client-friendly manner. We believe this will address the large number of students and residents needing care in our county as school reopens this fall,” says Michelle Morris, Administrator of Polk County Health Center.
Residents who need school immunizations should bring their current shot record or a letter from their school stating what immunizations are needed.
